We are working on and trying to finish putting in concrete pavers along both side our driveway after pulling out trees last summer whose roots were lifting up the sidewalks and taking over the yard. Wow, has this DIY project taking awhile, but the pavers look pretty after all prep work and digging we have done.

I am finishing a project that I cut out pieces about three or so years ago for my mom who passed away before I finished it. I am happy that I feel like finishing it now, without the sadness I felt when my mom first was gone.  She never really sewed as a hobby as an adult, but was very encouraging and liked to see the quilts I would finish.

It is blues and white and is a pattern called "Ruby Slippers" in Kansas City Scrapbook by Atkinson Designs. I think I will call mine "Sapphire slippers" since I am using blues instead of reds, how original is that.

Maybe by next Sunday I will get something finished for my stashbuster report!

Here is my rug I finished this week. My new windows 7 computer is doing great with few adjustments. Wow, it is nice to have a working computer.

I also have some pics of a baby panel I quilted a couple of weeks ago and a huge customer quilt I am finishing today.  I love this new allover pattern I got called "feather curls" from Irene Steele's Timeless Quilting Designs.

Today is my middle son, Cory's, 21 st birthday! He has a final today and then I think he can enjoy his Bday. Here he is joking around with the pin the tail on donkey poster I had to put up on the wall.

Stash WE March 7, 2010

Boo Hoo, now my computer finally crashed and I have learned my lesson which is a "back hard drive" Now my computer is in the shop hopefully salvaging my files and I am going to get a new computer and start loading my necessary programs. Why does it take a week to get back, blah.

Back to happy quilting and sewing world......I am almost finished with my "toothbrush rug" I am making with scraps of hawaiian prints. I will post pics of my latest projects when I am back in business, because it is too slow on my hubby's old laptop I am using.

It is scary how attached to my computer I am.

If I finish my rug later tonight I am going to adjust my stash usage numbers. It's a good one for me since the rug really uses a lot of fabrics. Otherwise next week will be a good week.

This week I pieced a single irish chain with 15" blocks (wow their huge) The quilt top ended up at about 86" X 86". I plan on machine quilting some block patterns I purchased.

I put together a baby quilt with a cute panel and really soft white ribbed minky for the backing, and coordinating binding. I quilted it on my longarm. No pics until I get my computer which got a nasty virus and so I had to take itinto the shop this morning! Thank heavens, we have an old lap top hooked up to the internet, or I would be in withdrawals LOL. I am quilting a large king quilt this week for a customer, and I hope to start my next quilt top....we'll see.

This week I made "There's a Dog on my Quilt" quilt top from Billie Lauders book, Guess who's on my quilt?. Using a little more of my endless 1930's stash plus some regular brown and beige. I am putting that in my finished quilt top pile. It is cute.

Couldn't resist some 30's prints at $3/yard at the LQS. Made a baby sized quilt with a pattern from super simple squares patterns by Possiblities.
